Guest Entertainer: Jesse Dameron
Topic: The Human Mind
At age 10, entertainer Jesse Dameron used to guess a number from 1 to 10 with his brothers and sisters. He was fascinated by ideas about intuition and the human mind. This interest took on various forms. He loved personality quizzes. To understand suggestion, he studied world class hypnotists like Anthony Jacquin and Ormond McGill. He studied body language from Joe Navarro, a professor at St. Leo University who gained experience in body language during interrogations for the FBI's counter-terrorism division. He loved optical illusions and other types of psychological exercises that influence perception. Dameron also worked to develop his intuition through practice. In his 20s, he took acting classes and public speaking classes to build stage presence. He studied the Hollywood screenwriter Andrew Stanton to learn to craft engaging stories. He read books on comedy and entertainment, then applied some of the ideas to his shows. Jesse loves motivational speakers and has been inspired by them, and wants to eventually integrate several motivational messages into his entertainment shows.
