Throughout Chief McKeon's 29-year career with the Norristown Police Department, he has served as a patrol officer; a corporal who co-commanded the Vice and Intelligence Division; an undercover narcotics detective with the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team; and as the commander of the Norristown Police Department Tactical Patrol Unit. He was also a member of the elite Montgomery County CLEAN Team. In addition, Chief McKeon has also provided expert testimony in outlaw motorcycle gangs and narcotics. In his career he has made more than 1,000 narcotics arrests.
Chief McKeon earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University in 2004. He graduated at the top of the class in the Master's of Public Safety Administration program at St. Joseph's University in May 2007. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 225.
Chief McKeon has taught at the Montgomery County Fire Academy for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Narcotics Investigations and is currently an instructor in the Criminal Justice program at Montgomery County Community College.
He is a member of the Norristown Fire Department, a board member of the Norristown Police Athletic League and has served as the President of the Montgomery County Police Memorial Committee and as Vice President of the Norristown Fraternal Order of Police.
He has received more than 25 commendations/unit citations and was named Police Officer of the Year in 1986.

Barry L. Templin, Jr. has been the Chief of Police of the Douglass Township Police Department for eleven (11) years and has twenty-five years of service in all for the Douglass Township Police Department. Barry has initiated many programs within the police department to help the surrounding community including the Drug Take Back Program, Premise Alert Program, College Internship Program, High School Internship & Job Shadow Program, Shop w/ a Cop Program and many more. The Douglass Township Police Department is an accredited police department under Chief Templin through the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association. Chief Templin is also an avid soccer fan and coaches soccer for the Daniel Boone Senior High School. Chief Templin’s wife, Rita, works for the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, his son Andrew attends Bloomsburg University majoring in Criminal Justice, his son Aaron will be attending Millersville University in the fall majoring in Sports Journalism and his daughter Grace attends the Daniel Boone Senior High School.
